High Value Gold Project in Challenging Jurisdiction
The Specimen Reef Gold project is an advanced exploration initiative located near Avoca, Victoria – with an approved open-pit design. Specimen Reef is a narrow-vein, structurally controlled saddle-reef gold deposit, analogous to Bendigo gold deposits.
Spectrum was commissioned to:
- Update the resource model
- Plan and execute additional resource drilling
- Create a mine plan based on previously approved pit designs
- Generate a mineral reserve
Mine planning and approvals for Specimen Reef were complex due to extensive historical workings, heritage sites and protected vegetation species.
